Overview
Memoricae is an iOS flashcard study app that turns flashcards into hunts. We collect only the information needed to provide the app, keep accounts and purchases working, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and operate the website.
We do not sell personal data.
Data We Collect
- Account identifiers such as email address, Apple sign-in identifier, or Apple private relay email.
- Authentication and session data used to keep you signed in and protect account access.
- App activity and analytics events used to improve onboarding, deck import, purchases, and reliability.
- Purchase and entitlement information from Apple for Memoricae Plus and Memory Pass.
- Deck/card content or metadata only where required for app features and backend services, such as syncing, importing, managing decks, or making study features work.
- Support emails and related information that you send to us.
- Basic website and device information, such as browser, device type, referring page, and page activity, where collected for site reliability and analytics.
How We Use Information
- Provide account access through Apple sign-in and email-code sign-in.
- Operate flashcard decks, starter decks, supported .apkg imports, hunts, quests, rewards, and cosmetics.
- Verify Memoricae Plus and Memory Pass entitlements.
- Improve onboarding, deck import, purchase flows, app reliability, and website performance.
- Respond to support, privacy, account, and bug-report requests.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain service security.
Third-Party Services
Memoricae may use the following third-party services to operate the app and website:
- Apple Sign in with Apple for account authentication.
- Apple In-App Purchase and the App Store for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and cancellations.
- PostHog analytics for app and website analytics.
- Postmark or another email delivery provider for email-code sign-in and transactional email.
- Fly.io backend hosting for app services.
- Neon database hosting for app data storage.
- Vercel website hosting for the Memoricae website.
Deck and Card Content
You are responsible for the deck and card content you create or import. Memoricae processes deck and card content or metadata only where needed for app features and backend services. Avoid uploading content that you do not have the right to use.
User Choices
- Contact support for account, deletion, access, correction, or other privacy requests.
- Disable optional analytics if supported in-app.
- Manage Memoricae Plus subscriptions through Apple ID purchase settings.
- Request eligible App Store refunds through Apple.
- You can stop using the app or website at any time.
Children
Memoricae is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent where required by law. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Memoricae changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date when appropriate.
